Os cientistas s&oacute; conseguiram o feito ao usarem um material met&aacute;lico que muda de estado e de cor ao entrar em contato com uma corrente el&eacute;trica, o que forma <strong>nanopixels<\/strong> (a unidade m&iacute;nima de uma imagem) de 300 nan&ocirc;metros quadrados.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height:1.6em\">A <\/span><strong style=\"line-height:1.6em\">revista Nature<\/strong><span style=\"line-height:1.6em\"> detalhou a t&eacute;cnica, mostrando que ela pode ser usada na fabrica&ccedil;&atilde;o de telas de computadores vest&iacute;veis, e at&eacute; de lentes de contato inteligentes e telas dobr&aacute;veis. A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.psafe.com\/blog\/tela-mercado-wearebles\/\">LG anunciou a cria&ccedil;&atilde;o de uma tela que pode ser dobrada<\/a> sem causar danos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height:1.6em\">Esses pixels, reunidos, foram usados para formar imagens de 70 micr&ocirc;metros de tamanho, menores do que a espessura de um fio de cabelo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height:1.6em\">De acordo com Harish Bhaskaran, que coordenou o estudo, at&eacute; onde se sabe a resolu&ccedil;&atilde;o das imagens produzidas por sua equipe &eacute; a mais alta j&aacute; atingida. Nunca se viu outra tecnologia chegar perto de 100 ou 200 nan&ocirc;metros de resolu&ccedil;&atilde;o. Bhaskaran afirmou, por&eacute;m, que ser&atilde;o necess&aacute;rios pelo menos cinco anos para a descoberta gerar resultados pr&aacute;ticos.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong style=\"line-height:1.6em\">Como a nova t&eacute;cnica foi desenvolvida<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Os pesquisadores usaram uma camada muito fina de uma liga de metais composta por germ&acirc;nio, antim&ocirc;nio e tel&uacute;rio, conhecida pela sigla <strong>GST<\/strong>. O material &eacute; comumente utilizado em sistemas de controle de temperatura, porque absorve ou libera calor ao mudar de estado. &Eacute; &uacute;til em equipamentos de armazenamento de dados, como DVDs.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height:1.6em\">Bhaskaran e seus colegas interpuseram essa liga entre duas folhas de um material transparente capaz de conduzir eletricidade, produzindo uma camada com 0,0002 mil&iacute;metros de espessura. Depois, aplicaram descargas el&eacute;tricas em diferentes pontos da superf&iacute;cie para criar uma imagem. Ao mudar de estado, os pixels tamb&eacute;m trocaram de cor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"line-height:1.6em\">A equipe ainda n&atilde;o gerou imagens em movimento, mas disse que os pixels podem ser ativados e desativados para criar o efeito.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height:1.6em\">&ldquo;Est&aacute;vamos explorando a rela&ccedil;&atilde;o entre as propriedades el&eacute;tricas e &oacute;pticas, e ent&atilde;o tivemos a ideia de criar esse sandu&iacute;che composto de camadas. Para nossa surpresa, a t&eacute;cnica deu um melhor contraste&rdquo;, disse Bhaskaran.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height:1.6em\">O cientista acrescentou que a descoberta n&atilde;o seria poss&iacute;vel sem o apoio de engenheiros do Reino Unido e do Conselho de Pesquisas de Ci&ecirc;ncias F&iacute;sicas (<\/span><strong style=\"line-height:1.6em\">EPSRC<\/strong><span style=\"line-height:1.6em\">). &ldquo;O <\/span><strong style=\"line-height:1.6em\">EPSRC<\/strong><span style=\"line-height:1.6em\"> tem financiado nossa investiga&ccedil;&atilde;o.
