Samsung Pay’s New Loyalty Rewards Program

Samsung Electronics America, Inc., known simply as Samsung for the prolific use of its consumer electronics, has recently rolled out a rewards pay program. The well known leader in smartphones, home entertainment, wireless electronics, and wearables, is a adding loyal rewards for mobile payment service to its list of innovations for consumer engagement.

So what exactly is the Loyalty Program about?

Samsung Pay originally launched to simplify the purchasing experience by offering a kind of digital wallet. They’ve expanded the program to support in-app payments as well as a mobile payment platform incentives program called Samsung Rewards. It will allow loyal consumers to use mobile payment almost anywhere they would otherwise use a credit card in order to accrue points and win prizes.

How does it work?

First, a user would enroll in Samsung Rewards and download the Smart Pay app. From there, they’d earn points for the purchases they make. The more they spend, the more points they accumulate, and these points correlate to different tiers, such as Silver, Gold, and Platinum. The tier status a user reaches each month dictates the caliber of prizes they can redeem; obviously, the higher the points, the greater the tier, and the more lavish the prizes. Samsung Rewards even lets you earn reward points when using your debit card. The Smart Pay app lets users monitor the points they’ve won, check out offers, and redeem their points for a prize only in one place.

What do points get redeemed for?

Once a user is ready to redeem their points, they can choose from any number of Samsung products — which covers a wide range of goods, vouchers for the website, or, a user can tack on the value to their the Samsung Rewards Visa Prepaid Card or a gift card to other partnering retailers.

Apart from redeeming the product of your choice, active users are also eligible to receive “Instant Win” prizes. Instant Win prizes can be as extravagant as a trip for two to Nappa Valley and Las Vegas.

For anyone who is an avid user of electronics this is definitely a deal to look into. Most purchases are straightforward and offer no added benefit to transactions. So, if you’re already spending monthly on the latest gadgets and are first in line for a new release, then invest in a program that rewards your loyalty.
