• Open the Google Play Store app.
• Tap Menu, Menu and then Settings.
• Tap Auto-update apps.
• Select the Over Wi-Fi only option to automatically update apps only when connected to Wi-Fi.

If you need to do an emergency update and you have no WiFi you can override this setting.
