He found the link suspicious and sent it to be investigated. <\/span>Pegasus<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> spyware was then discovered \u2014 if Mansoor had clicked on the link, <\/span>Pegasus<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> would have been automatically downloaded onto his phone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the discovery, Apple released updated software that fixed the vulnerability <\/span>Pegasus<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was attacking.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Chysaor Spyware<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not long after, Google found information that the Android version of <\/span>Pegasus spy software<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2014 <\/span>Chysaor<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2014 had found its way onto operating systems. Before the spyware could wreak havoc, Google found a way to protect users.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Protecting Yourself from <\/b><b><i>Mobile Spyware<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Luckily, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/android-developers.googleblog.com\/2017\/04\/an-investigation-of-chrysaor-malware-on.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Google stopped <\/span><b>Chysaor<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> before it could reach epidemic status. But that doesn\u2019t mean there\u2019s nothing for you to do when faced with a potential threat.
