Set up an Unlocking Method for Your Phone<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. To set up an unlocking method, first go to Settings and scroll down until you find \u201cSecurity.<\/em>\u201d<\/li>\n
  2. Click the \u201cSecurity\u201d button and then click \u201cScreen Lock.\u201d<\/li>\n

    Set up Trusted Face<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. After you\u2019ve set up an unlocking method, return to the \u201cSecurity\u201d settings screen and click \u201cSmart Lock\u201d again.<\/li>\n
    2. Enter the PIN, password, or swipe pattern you\u2019ve just chosen.<\/li>\n
    3. In the Smart Lock screen, click \u201cTrusted Face.<\/em>\u201d<\/li>\n
    4. Trusted Face will give you several suggestions for how to set up your face profile. First, make sure you find an indoor spot that isn\u2019t too bright or too dark. Next, hold your phone at eye level.<\/li>\n
    5. Click \u201cNext.\u201d<\/li>\n
    6. A camera screen with a number of white dots in the shape of a face will appear. Fit your whole face within the face on the screen. If you do this successfully, the white dots will all turn yellow.<\/li>\n
    7. The screen will then transfer you to a screen with the yellow-dotted face and a check mark. This means that you\u2019ve enabled your Trusted Face successfully.<\/li>\n
    8. Click \u201cOK\u201d at the bottom of the screen to exit the setup.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Use Trusted Face to Unlock Your Phone<\/strong><\/p>\n

      1. Your phone will lock after the length of time you\u2019ve set in your Security profile.<\/li>\n
      2. Trusted Face will appear when you open your phone.<\/li>\n
