The DropSpace app for Android is a useful way to backup all of your phone\u2019s files \u2013 including your music, photos, and contacts, for example \u2013 to your Dropbox. In Dropbox, create a new folder where you can store all of your phone\u2019s backed-up content.<\/li>\n<li>Download the free DropSpace app.<\/li>\n<li>Open DropSpace and log into using your Dropbox account credentials.<\/li>\n<li>In the app\u2019s main menu, there will be an icon that says \u201cAdd directories\u201d and then \u201cfiles to sync list.\u201d In the \u201cfiles to sync list,\u201d add the folders you want Dropbox to back up.<\/li>\n<li>Choose the Dropbox folder you made before to store this content. This will be the folder where all of your phone\u2019s backed-up material is stored.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure you\u2019ve also clicked the \u201cSync back files if server has new one\u201d button on DropSpace so the app will continue to sync if you change a file on your computer.<\/li>\n<li>You want DropSpace to regularly backup your files and folders. To make sure that your content is regularly synced, navigate back to the app\u2019s main menu. Here, click on \u201cRun as service.\u201d From there, you can click how often you want you content backed up to Dropbox. You can choose anywhere from every hour to every 168 hours.<\/li>\n<li>You also want to only have your phone and computer sync when your phone is connected to Wi-Fi so you don\u2019t wear out your phone\u2019s battery too quickly. To do this, navigate back to main menu and click the button next to the \u201cSync only wifi\u201d icon.<\/li>\n<li>You can also sync your content on DropSpace manually by navigating back to the main menu and clicking the \u201cSync Now\u201d button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you want DropSpace to back up your phone\u2019s files, make sure you aren\u2019t wasting space by transferring unnecessary files.
