Autocorrect: sometimes it can be a lifesaver, but other times it can be a serious inconvenience. If you\u2019re someone who would rather get rid of autocorrect all together, here is how you can turn it off across multiple devices.<\/p>\n

iPhone<\/strong>
\nIf you\u2019re tired of autocorrect on your iPhone changing things for you, it\u2019s very easy to turn off.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Go into Settings on your iPhone or your iPad.<\/li>\n
  2. Select \u201cGeneral,\u201d which is a part of the third grouping (below Do Not Disturb).<\/li>\n
  3. Scroll down to find Keyboard, which is below the \u201cDate & Time\u201d option.<\/li>\n
  4. Press the slider to right of \u201cAuto-Correction.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Android Devices<\/strong>
    \nIf you have the Google Keyboard, which the majority of Android devices do, this is a very quick fix.<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Navigate to your Android device\u2019s Settings menu.<\/li>\n
    2. Select \u201cLanguage & input,\u201d which is near the \u201cAccounts\u201d menu item.<\/li>\n
    3. Find the \u201cGoogle Keyboard\u201d entry and select it.<\/li>\n
    4. Towards the bottom of the screen, select \u201cText correction.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Windows 10<\/strong>
      \nWindows has gotten into the autocorrect game with the addition of the feature in Windows 10. As with the other devices\/operating systems above, however, it can easily be disabled.<\/p>\n

      1. Press the Windows key and the letter I at the same time to open the Settings app.<\/li>\n
      2. Click on Devices, and then on the left hand side of the screen, click \u201cTyping.\u201d<\/li>\n
      3. On the right, click the slider below \u201cAutocorrect misspelled words.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Apple Computers<\/strong>
        \nApple\u2019s auto correct isn\u2019t only for its iDevices \u2014 it is enabled on their laptops and desktops as well. To turn off the feature\u2026<\/p>\n

        1. Within the Apple Menu, go to System Preferences.<\/li>\n
        2. Select \u201cKeyboard.\u201d<\/li>\n
