The account posted status updates on various international actions and policies, and often also included custom infographics. The president himself tweeted from @POTUS, and earned over a million followers in a few hours when he sent out his first tweet in May 2015. The president\u2019s wife, tweeting from @FLOTUS, also has millions of followers.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/b>The White House also posted blogs on Medium, a platform created by the digital director for the White House and Twitter\u2019s co-founders.
