What are the requirements to enable the Anti-Theft?

To allow the Anti-Theft features to work, the app dfndr security must remain installed, updated, and active on your Android device.

Even given all these conditions above, PSafe reiterates that the success of the Anti-theft features depends on various factors (including the user), that PSafe doesn’t control or influence, such as (but not limited to):

• The device power/ battery life remaining;

• An active connection that exists between the device and the data network and/or, in the case of SMS commands, the voice network (including, in case of paid networks, an active account, with a positive balance, that is linked to the device); and

• Map data or other information related to location (which comes from third-party services) which may not be available in all areas or display imprecise data.

PSafe reiterates that events or actions of third parties (including the user), is not PSafe’s responsibilty (being outside the control or influence of PSafe), could leave the dfndr security and/or your Android device in a condition that does not meet the requirements listed above: for example (including, but not limited to), if a person (a) deletes the app dfndr security from your device or (b) disconnects the device from the voice and/or data networks, perhaps by changing or removing the chip (SIM card).

PSafe neither ensures the location, even if it is approximate, of Android devices with the use of the app dfndr security installed, nor guarantees the success of the search and location process.

PSafe reiterates that the app dfndr security is an auxiliary tool and is not a substitute for the procedures the user must follow with the police authorities, especially in the case of theft and or robbery of devices.
