Circle of 6
This app is an award winner — and with good reason! Here, you can choose up to six contacts that you can quickly alert when you’re in danger and need assistance. Selecting one of their names sends a message to them to pick you up, or you can request that they call or text you by using the phone and chat icons. Finally, this app showcases a “danger” button that can be activated to reach hotlines that are meant for victims of sexual or domestic abuse.

bSafe
This is a noteworthy safety app that allows users to set up a network of friends and family members as “guardians.” These individuals can watch the app user get home via a GPS trace, ensuring that the user gets home safe and sound. The app also has an emergency alarm that sends out the user’s exact location to those who have been dubbed “guardians.” When the alarm is activated, the app begins recording audio and video on your phone.

React Mobile
This is another safety app that is very useful in the event of a scary situation. This app allows users to discreetly call for help if they’re in need without letting anyone around them know that they’ve sent that message. Using a device that hooks onto a keyring, users will click a button that is synced via Bluetooth to the app on his or her Android device. Once the button has been pushed, the app will automatically alert the user’s network that there’s a problem, also telling them the user’s location.

While the thought of being in an unfortunate or scary situation is not something that any of us wants to think about, that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be prepared just in case. These apps are an easy way to bring some peace of mind, so be sure to download one of them to your Android today.
