Top Ways to Increase Traffic to Your Website

Increase your web presence, and thus traffic to your website, with the following tips:

Create an Abundance of Content
The more content you create, the better your web presence is. However, don’t focus on quality over quantity. Ideally, you’d focus on both, but if you must choose, choose quality. Clickbait isn’t a long-term solution to increasing site traffic, and it ultimately can ruin your brand’s image. With clickbait, instead of producing valuable and informative content that makes your readers champion your site or buy your product, you’re making them distrust your brand. In addition, make sure that you’re including relevant links to other valuable content on your website. You want to encourage viewers or customers to engage with your website, learn more, and eventually treat you as a trusted source.

Utilize Social Media
This is one of the best ways to increase traffic to your website. Do some research into the type of social media platforms that your ideal customer, viewer, or client uses. When in doubt, choose Facebook. Facebook is the largest social networking site, with more than 1.7 billion active users. That’s much more than Instagram and Twitter combined. By being active on social media, your business increases your chances of being “seen” and “heard,” which will help drive traffic to your website.

Search Engine Optimization Strategies
Search engine optimization, or SEO, is one of the most important ways to increase traffic to your website. Good SEO practices involve the focus on long-tail keywords, keyword research, and page ranking. Long-tail keywords are specific phrases that help someone find exactly what they’re looking for. They are usually a few words or more. An example might be “free Android antivirus software.” You can do research on the types of words your ideal customer or viewer might use, and then tailor your keywords to match those results. As for page ranking, most users don’t look beyond the first page of results on Google. That’s why it’s incredibly important to make sure you make it to that first page of results. It will dramatically increase your website traffic.
