Google Flights Adds Exciting New Features

It’s that time of the year. Whether you are traveling for Thanksgiving or the winter holidays, flight tickets are scarce, and the prices are skyrocketing. Allow Google Flights to help you find the cheapest possible tickets to your desired vacation spot.

Google Flights has updated its features to include an app that will help optimize the pricing of your flight. Instead of surfing the web for alternative flight prices all day, Google Flights will do the hard work for you. Just in time for your holiday wanderlust!

Another new feature alerts you when fares expire, so you will be able to know when cheap flight rates expire. Plus, Flights will inform you when a rate is about to commence. For instance, Google can notify you that a flight to San Francisco will have a $50 discount in 12 hours.

As of now, when you search for a flight, a notification will appear that will inform you of current fares, or any fares that will commence within the next few days.

What Else Can Google Flights Do?

Google Flights also enables you to observe flight prices for particular regions. For instance, if you do not know where to go, you can simply click on an area and discover the flight prices to that location. This enables you to find the cheapest flight to the most convenient location!

“I’m Feeling Lucky” is a feature that is not exclusive to the Google search engine. Let Google decide your dream location! Google Flight will select a unique location and present you with the average prices. This function utilizes an algorithm that examines your search history to decipher the desired location. For instance, if you Google about Mardi Gras frequently, then I’m Feeling Lucky will likely direct you towards the New Orleans region.

Google Flights will also track the status of your flight’s pricing. Google will inform you if prices are changing — especially if they become cheaper! For example, if you are flying to Rome, and Delta just released a fare that would be a more feasible price, then Google Flights will notify you of this deal.
