Learn More About the Symphony Messaging App

Communication technologies have improved dramatically since the Short Message Service (SMS) gained popularity in the early 2000’s. In other words: text messaging became huge. As a result, several new, innovative messaging applications have been developed to make it even easier to communicate across cyberspace. Among these messaging services is Symphony, which is a great communication option for large companies.

What is Symphony?

Symphony is a cloud-based application that focuses on communication, specifically sharing content. It was originally utilized by Goldman Sachs as an internal messaging system. The software soon spread to 14 other financial institutions, who invested $66 million in the software. In early October of 2015, Symphony announced that had raised $100 million in funding from companies such as Google, among other investors. While Symphony was originally used for the financial industry, the company plans to expand its network to other industries, such as healthcare.

What Does Symphony Do?

On their website, Symphony offers a list of “solutions” that the application deals with in the financial sector. These solutions include sales and trading, analysts, operations, portfolio managers, executives, legal, and hedge funds.

Security is a Top Concern

The website also promotes the optimal security and confidentiality associated with the Symphony messaging app. Specifically, there is end-to-end encryption with each message sent across the application. This ensures that your messages will not be intercepted by hackers.

The app also has universal accessibility across several electronics. Cell phones, tablets, and laptops are all able to access the files that are imported onto the Symphony app.

The Executive Section

The application includes a special section for executives who wish to run their company in the most efficient and productive manner possible. The “executive” section includes a list of chat rooms that you can open for each department in order to enhance communication. Moreover, the assured delivery feature ensures that all urgent messages are delivered in a timely manner.

The data collection feature on Symphony is extremely protected, so sensitive information such as revenue goals, earnings, and private conversations are safe and encrypted. Plus, the executive is able to broadcast company news to the entire organization.

Sales and Trading Communication

The sales and trading section of the application enables secure communication amongst salesmen in a specific market. For example, you can set custom alerts and updates on your investments. Plus, you can collaborate with colleagues in a “streamlined communication” setting that allows robust group conversations.
