Silent Circle Brings You Your New Favorite Communication App

In today’s world, many people are concerned about the privacy of the information that they send through their mobile devices. Although these devices make it more convenient for people to do just about anything from anywhere, they also come with the risk of compromised security — a fact which Silent Circle has built its new app around.

Silent Phone: A Privacy Focused Communication App

Silent Phone is the new privacy focused communication app by Swiss encrypted communications firm Silent Circle. The app is so secure that it is a ‘surveillance-proof’ app for smartphone users, and allows completely secure calls and texts that cannot be intercepted by anyone, even the federal government.

In addition to phone calls and text messages, Silent Phone allows the transfer of secure files with its encrypted data transfer function. According to Silent Circle, the app is set to revolutionize how easy it is to provide privacy and security to mobile device users.

Silent Phone uses peer-to-peer encryption technology to ensure the user’s privacy. A unique feature about the app is that files which are sent through it can be set on a timer so that they are erased from both the user and the receiver’s device after a set period of time. This application takes the hassle out of figuring out how to send encrypted documents.

Silent Phone eliminates the need for the user to possess knowledge of how to install and utilize encryption software, because it does this all for the user. Due to its capabilities, the app is both welcomed by those who need more security when transmitting files and feared by government organizations that would like to oversee some transmissions. The Silent Phone app is available for free on Google Play and requires that users have an Android 4.1 or higher.
