T-Mobile Offers Third Free Line to (Almost) Everyone
T-Mobile started off March with a free third line for existing customers. Find out more about the deal for T-Mobile’s customers now.
In late February of this year, T-Mobile’s President John Legere told customers to prepare for March 1st, when the network would begin offering a third free line to customers who already had two lines with the company. The 4G LTE Network announces the free third line deal as part of the year of “thank you” to T-Mobile customers.
What is the Free Third Line Deal?
Customers lined up to take advantage of the deal, and as the offer was flexible, some applied the line to their tablet or smartwatch, or turned their cars into 4G LTE Hot Spots. The third free line adhered to the features of customers’ existing plans. For instance, those with T-Mobile One got a T-Mobile One line. The same applied to those with Simple Choice and Simple Choice No Credit plans.
The free line also matched customers’ current paid voice line data, but if you took advantage of the Un-Carriers two lines of T-Mobile for $100, you could get the free line included for the same price. Even small businesses with up to 11 lines could cash in on the “thank you” by using their T-Mobile @ Work account. All customers had to do was walk into a store and ask for the free line.
The third line free deal did not apply to those who cancelled a line after 2/27/17 in anticipation of the bargain, and customers were contracted to keep both existing lines for another 12 months after acquiring the free line.
T-Mobile’s Year of Deals.
Though this deal ended in March, Legere announced another opportunity for T-Mobile customers, with a free subscription to MLB.TV At Bat Premium for a full year. Customers could also win a $50 or $100 Mastercard gift card or an All-Star Week paid trip to Florida. With this deal, which was available only until April 5th at 1:59 am PT, subscribers could watch games on demand or live, with baseball stats and other At Bat features open to users throughout the 12 months of their subscription.
Will T-Mobile Have More Deals This Year?
As Legere stated, “This season, baseball is totally unlimited on T-Mobile. Customers can stream all they want on T-Mobile One without ever worrying about data caps. Limits are outta here!” It seems the deals for the network’s “thank you year” will continue to roll out, so customers should keep their eyes peeled for future announcements of the sort.
