Subscription not recognized

If you have more than one Google account registered on your device, Google Play requires that the account used to make the purchase is the first one added to the device for the subscription to be properly recognized by dfndr security.

What to do if your subscription is not recognized:

If you have multiple accounts on your phone, follow these steps:

  1. Uninstall the dfndr security.

  2. Remove all Google accounts from your device, except the one used to make the purchase;

  3. To remove accounts:

    • Open your phone’s Settings app;

    • Go to Accounts (may also appear as “Users & Accounts” depending on your device);

    • Tap the account you want to remove, then select Remove Account;

  4. Keep only the account used for the subscription;

  5. Reinstall dfndr security — your subscription should now be recognized automatically.


🔔 Important: Before updating the app in the future, make sure the account used to purchase the subscription is selected as the main one to avoid any conflicts.

Note: Subscriptions cannot be transferred between iOS and Android devices, as they use different payment platforms (App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android). Also, the features available may vary depending on the platform due to Apple and Google Play policies.
