How to Stream the Top Films from Sundance 2017

Find out how you can stream some of the best films from the Sundance Film Festival online.

The Sundance Film Festival took place from January 19th to January 29th this year in Park City, Utah. The film festival is the biggest independent film festival in the US, with hundreds of thousands of people attending. The festival has been around since the 1970s, and has grown from a small festival into a festival populated with high-profile Hollywood actors and the like.

There are dozens of awards that are given out every year at the Sundance festival. Some of these awards include: the Grand Jury Prize, the Audience Award, the Directing Award, and the World Cinema Award, among various other awards and subcategories. Both national and international films are able to be submitted to the festival.

Since the festival already took place, it will be easier to watch many of the 2017 nominated and award-winning films through an online streaming service. This is especially true due to the budget of many independent films — distributing a film online would be more cost-effective than distributing a DVD copy. Still, many of the Sundance winners will appear in theaters this year before being released on streaming sites. Without further ado, here are some of the best films from the 2017 Sundance Film Festival, and where and when you can watch them online.
